Augmenting the Watertight Geometry Workflow with Tree Operations (Self-paced Learning Available)

Course Overview

This course will teach you to understand the relationship between the model tree in the Outline View tab (commonly known as the “Tree”) and the items in the Watertight Geometry workflow and how to perform operations using the Tree which can help to augment your usage of the Watertight Geometry workflow.

Prerequisite

Completion of any one of the following courses is required:

Target Audience

Any Ansys Fluent users who want to learn additional Tree-based operations in meshing mode that will help to augment usage of the Watertight Geometry meshing workflow.

Teaching Method

Self-paced videos, with accompanying hands-on tutorials to validate practical knowledge.

Learning Outcome

Following completion of this course, you will be able to:

  • Describe how the tasks in the Watertight Geometry meshing workflow populate objects in the model tree found in the Outline View tab.
  • Use the tools available for interacting with objects in the graphics window.
  • Create capping surfaces from edges using two different methods.
  • Compute and preview the size field prior to surface mesh generation.
  • Visualize poor quality cells.
