January 2023
In 2023 R1, Ansys Forte provides a new Arc Channel Tracking (ACT) spark model that improves the accuracy of IC Engines simulations and additional usability enhancements for pumps and valve simulations.
An Arc Channel Tracking (ACT) spark model can be used to simulate ignition and flame propagation to improve accuracy and capture short-circuit and restrike events in IC Engines.
A runtime framework provides time-averaged statistics for any spatially resolved flow variable.
A moving monitor probe can prescribe movement for pumps, and valve simulations allow tracking properties of a fluid pocket as it moves from the suction to discharge ends.
