Course Overview
The Ansys EMI EMC Three Phase Inverter course is a system level design of a three-phase electrical drive for an electric vehicle application. The focus of the simulation is conducted emissions to meet the CISPR25 standard. This training starts in Module 1 with a discussion of workflows in Lecture 1, and a full-system simulation in Workshop 1.
Modules 2 and 3 focus on the integration of simulations from Q2D, Q3D, HFSS, and SIwave into the overall Ansys Electronics Desktop (AEDT) Circuit design schematic. Q2D and HFSS models are dynamically linked into the system level circuit schematic. From the Q3D design simulation results, RLGC models are generated to model components in the system level circuit design. From SIwave SYZ simulation results, state space models are generated and then imported into the system simulation.
Prerequisites
- Experience with Ansys Electronics Desktop (AEDT) and especially Ansys Circuit and EM dynamic link in electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) applications (which may be gained through the early workshops of the HFSS CISPR25 course).
- Familiarity with SIwave, Q3D, Q2D Extractor, and HFSS for dynamic link
- Familiarity with electromagnetic compatibility engineering and commonly measured quantities.
Teaching Method
This is a self-paced course.
