Course Overview

This course is designed for existing users of Ansys Mechanical. You will learn and achieve an understanding of the available material models for plastics simulation. This course also covers some testing procedures to extract tests data for Ansys simulations.

Prerequisites

Teaching Method

 Mechanical Engineer with a background on material modeling in FE analysis and nonlinear problems modelization.

Learning Outcome

Following completion of this course, you will be able to:

  • Understand the characteristics of Structural Plastics
  • Be familiar with the testing procedures
  • Learn about the Ansys material models for Plastics modeling
  • Understand the needed inputs for material models
  • Be familiar with the workflow in Ansys for material definition
