This course is designed for FEA users of Ansys Discovery. Ansys Discovery is the combination of interactive geometry modeling, along with instant GPU simulation and high-fidelity physics in a single interface. Improvements to the user experience and modeling architecture make it easier, faster, and more robust than ever before.

Prerequisites

  • This course is an introductory course to Ansys Discovery for FEA users, no specific prerequisites are requested.

Learning Outcome

Following completion of this course, you will be able to:

  • Discover the Ansys Discovery user interface.
  • Create Named Selections and parameters in Ansys Discovery.
  • Create mid-surfaces from a volume.
  • Create Beams and assign cross sections to them.
  • Import the geometry to Ansys Workbench with the Named Selections and the Parameters.
  • Create a new geometry from scratch in Ansys Discovery.
  • Discover the Ansys Discovery main tools: Pull, Move, Fill and combine.
  • Repair an imported geometry in Ansys Discovery.
