Ansys PowerArtist
Getting Started

Course Overview

Ansys PowerArtist is the industry-leading comprehensive register-transfer-level (RTL) design-for-power platform to analyze, debug and reduce power early in the RTL stage for maximizing power savings. PowerArtist enables you to perform physical-aware RTL power budgeting, interactive debugging, analysis-driven reduction, efficiency regressions and profiling of live applications, while also enabling a seamless RTL-to-physical methodology for power grid integrity.

This course teaches the essential skills you will need to start performing RTL Power Analysis, Reduction and Profiling on your own using Ansys PowerArtist.

The course is designed for the Lecture to be used along with the Workshop. The user is encouraged to follow along the Lecture with a live PowerArtist session. The training enables an accelerated ramping up on the PowerArtist product and features using both its commands and Graphical User Interface.

Prerequisites

Basic understanding of RTL design and power is recommended.

Teaching Method

Lectures and computer practical sessions to validate acquired knowledge. A major emphasis is placed on teaching along with workshop.

    Learning Outcome

Following completion of this course, you will be able to:

Achieve early RTL power analysis using PowerArtist as well as power profiling. It will also allow you to find power wastage and having a regression based power methodology at RTL.
