Course Overview

The Ansys Zemax Illumination & Stray Light training series is the recommended training for non-sequential mode and assumes a background in optics but not necessarily with Zemax OpticStudio.

Prerequisites

  • Knowledge of fundamental optical concepts.
  • Experience in the use of OpticStudio is assumed.

Teaching Method

This is a self-paced course covering lectures, demonstrations, and workshops. A training certificate is provided to all attendees who complete the course.

Learning Outcome

Following completion of this course, you will be able to:

  • Model and analyse the performance of simple Gaussian beam propagation sequential systems in OpticStudio.
  • Use the Physical Optics Propagation toolbox.
  • Build merit functions to optimize system performance for best fiber coupling.
  • Identify fiber coupling sensitivities using the universal plot.
