Getting Started with the Ansys Granta MI Scripting Toolkit for Python

Course Overview

In this video series, you will explore the fundamentals of the Ansys Granta MI® materials intelligence platform Scripting Toolkit for Python. This powerful toolkit allows you to automate data import, process existing data within the Ansys Granta MI platform, and perform data analysis.

Throughout the series, you will work with interactive Jupyter notebooks to develop scripts for exporting, analyzing, and manipulating data from the Ansys Granta MI platform, as well as importing new data from CSV files. Additionally, you will cover next steps, including advanced data types such as tabular and functional data, and explore open-source PyAnsys components for the Ansys Granta MI platform.

Prerequisites

  • A basic understanding of the Ansys Granta MI data model, understand concepts like; database, table, record, and attribute. 

Teaching Method

Lectures and computer practical sessions to validate acquired knowledge. A training certificate is provided to all attendees who complete the course.

Learning Outcome

Following completion of this training course, you will be able to:

  • Install the software in your Python environment.
  • Find and use the documentation of the software.
  • Export data into the Ansys Granta MI platform.
  • Import new data into the Ansys Granta MI platform.
