Course Overview

In this course, you will learn how to set up and run a parametric study including both geometric and flow parameters in Ansys Workbench™ simulation integration platform while using the Watertight Geometry Workflow in Ansys Fluent® fluid simulation software.

Prerequisites

Completion of the following courses is highly recommended:

  • Ansys Fluent Getting Started: Basics
  • Introduction to Ansys Workbench  

Teaching Method

Lectures and computer practical sessions to validate acquired knowledge. A major emphasis is placed on teaching by software demonstration and on the development of a solution to a design challenge from start to finish.

Learning Outcome

Following completion of this course, you will be able to:

  • Link Workbench component systems for Geometry and Fluent (with Fluent Meshing).
  • Launch Ansys SpaceClaim and Ansys Fluent from the Ansys Workbench environment.
  • Define input (Ansys SpaceClaim, Ansys Fluent) and output (Ansys Fluent) parameters for a parametric study.
  • Set up and work with design points.
  • Run multiple design points.
