Multiphase Flow Modeling using Eulerian Model (Self-paced Learning Available)

Course Overview

This course lays down the fundamentals of Eulerian model and its applications. Additionally, it also explains about the Mixture model in Ansys Fluent software.

Prerequisites

  • This course assumes that you have completed Fluent Getting Started training and are already familiar with single phase flow in Ansys Fluent.

Teaching Method

Lectures and computer practical sessions to validate acquired knowledge.

Learning Outcome

Following completion of the course, you will be able to:

  • Understand Eulerian model and its application.
  • Explore solver settings and solution strategies for gas-liquid flows.
  • Understand characteristics of particulate flows and Euler-Granular model.
  • Understand the concept and use of Mixture model and Flow Regime Modeling.
  • Understand the use of important Eulerian model extensions.
  • Set up and solve Eulerian Multi-Fluid VOF simulation of bubble rising in a slurry.
