Ansys SpaceClaim Meshing for CFD (Self-paced Learning Available)

Course Overview

This course is designed for CFD users of Ansys SpaceClaim that would like to benefit from its Meshing capabilities. SpaceClaim Meshing uses the Mesh ribbon in Ansys SpaceClaim to generate the mesh on some or all the parts of your geometry before importing the model into ANSYS CFD solvers for simulation. With this SpaceClaim Meshing tool, you will be able to get 100% hex mesh on complicated CAD geometries. You will be introduced to the different tools and block types. You will also learn the different meshing approaches.

Prerequisites

  • A good knowledge in Ansys SpaceClaim is required: Introduction to Ansys SpaceClaim course.
  • A good knowledge in Geometry decomposition to get 100% hex mesh is a big plus.

Teaching Method

Lectures and computer practical sessions to validate acquired knowledge.

Learning Outcome

Following completion of this course, you will be able to:

  • How to activate the Mesh ribbon in Ansys SpaceClaim, how to use the different related tools and the different display options.
  • How to get 100% hex elements using the mesh tools in Ansys SpaceClaim: split, associate, blend, pull, move...
  • Using the geometry decomposition approach to get 100% hex mesh.
  • Using the bounding box decomposition approach to get 100% hex mesh.
