Ansys EMA3D Cable (Ansys EMC Plus) Advanced (Self-paced Learning Available)

Course Overview

This course builds upon the introductory course and shows users more Ansys EMA3D Cable (now known as Ansys EMC Plus) capabilities. The modules in this course are best suited for users who are already familiar with Ansys EMA3D Cable as less time is given to exploring the interface and the simulated problems are more complex than in the introductory course. This self-learning course uses short video tutorials and training materials to guide participants through the modeling of several platforms to determine electromagnetic compatibility and signal integrity. The course is designed for users that have installed Ansys EMA3D Cable. Blank and completed geometry files are provided, but users are encouraged to follow along and create each simulation for themselves in Ansys EMA3D Cable.

This self-paced course uses short video tutorials and training materials to guide users through each problem.

Learning Outcome

Following completion of this course, you will be able to:

  • Import near-field sources into EMA3D Cable from other Ansys software
  • Utilize subgrid domains to minimize simulation overhead while retaining accuracy
  • Perform radiated emission and radiated immunity simulations
  • Utilize EMA3D’s built-in probe computations
  • Add seams to models
  • Setup ports in EMA3D cable and calculate S-parameters
