STK Level  1 Beginner Training (Self-paced Learning Available)

Course Overview

This Systems Tool Kit (STK) training is designed to familiarize users with the standard STK workflow and provide a basic understanding of STK’s capabilities. This training is designed to allow you to model and incorporate your own systems and missions throughout the lessons.


  • To complete this course, you must have STK installed and licensed. You can download STK and obtain a license by visiting this website. You will need to sign in using your AGI web account credentials to access the STK Download and License Instructions page. Once you have completed this course, you can register for the certification test and become STK Certified.

Target Audience

Aerodynamics Engineers, Aerospace Engineers, Antenna Design Engineer, Satellite Operators, System Engineers and Thermal Engineers.

Teaching Method

Complete a class on your own schedule at your own pace. Includes video lecture, workshops, and input files.

Learning Outcome

Following completion of this course, you will be able to:

  • Create a scenario in STK.
  • Add STK objects to a scenario.
  • Modify STK objects in a scenario. 
  • Compute access between objects. 
  • Generate reports and graphs in STK. 
  • Send Connect Commands in STK. 
  • Make a movie in STK.
