Course Overview

The objective of this course is to learn about the motivation for applying parametric optimization in today’s virtual product development process. You will discover what Process Integration and Design Optimization (PIDO) means and why PIDO is needed to gain a competitive advantage. But how to tackle PIDO tasks? This course provides an overview of the available methods in Ansys optiSLang. 

Prerequisites

  • Fundamental knowledge of Simulation is required. 

Teaching Method

Lectures and computer practical sessions to validate acquired knowledge. A major emphasis is placed on teaching by software demonstration and on the development of a solution to a design challenge from start to finish.

Learning Outcomes:

Following completion of this course, you will be able to:  

  • Understand parametric optimization in product development process.

  • Gain knowledge on the concepts of Process Integration and Design Optimization (PIDO).

  • Know the methods about how to perform PIDO tasks using Ansys optiSLang.
