and Automation

Course Overview

Ansys optiSLang enables you to automatize your simulation toolchain and connect it to algorithms of robust design optimization. The Apps and Automation course offers you an introduction to publish these standardized engineering processes and simulation know-how to a larger user group through e.g. web-based applications.

During the training you will get an overview about possible applications and automation options in optiSLang. We will learn how to create, prepare and test optiSLang workflows and publish them e.g. in a web front end. Moreover, the course will give an outlook on how to adjust the apps.

Lectures and computer practical sessions to validate acquired knowledge.

Following completion of this course, you wil be able to;

  • Know the automatization options in optiSLang.
  • Learn how to create and modify workflows (with and without parametric run).
  • Give an overview about possible optiSLang apps.
  • Prepare and test your optiSLang project to publish it e.g. in a local web frond end.
  • Modify published apps.

This is a 1-day classroom course covering both lectures and workshops. For virtual training, this course is covered over 2 x 2-hour sessions lectures only.

Virtual Classroom Session 1

  • Module 6 Part A: Ansys optiSLang Apps and Automation.
  • Lecture: Motivation, Roles in Democratization, and overview about optiSLang apps.
  • Demonstration: Getting started in the web app.
  • Lecture and Demonstration; Prepare, test, and run your optiSLang project for a web application (example: oscillator workflow).
  • Workshop: Table workflow.

Virtual Classroom Session 2

  • Module 6 Part B Ansys optiSLang Apps and Automation.
  • Lecture: Advances Process Integration and Automation.
  • Lecture and Demonstration; Create, prepare, test and run your parametric optiSLang project for a web application (example: oscillator calibration workflow).
  • Lecture and Demonstration: Modify your apps.
