Ansys Cloud Direct for Ansys Fluent (Self-paced Learning Available)

Course Overview

This course covers Ansys Cloud for Ansys Fluent. It teaches how to navigate the Cloud Portal and Cloud Forum, install the Cloud apps, and use all available Cloud workflows. Namely launching a remove solve from Fluent on your desktop, running prep/post and solve on interactive remote virtual desktop (VDI), and launching a solve with UDF through the Command Line Interface (CLI). The last chapter discusses different ways to postprocess results. 

Prerequisites

  • Familiar with Ansys Fluent.

Teaching Method

Detailed step-by-step demonstration of the workflows with instruction why certain choices are made such as hardware selection or which workflow to use. A sample Fluent case and geometry files are provided to follow the steps or the student is encouraged to use their own models in the Ansys Cloud.

Following completion of this course, you will be able to:

  • Understand the capabilities and usefulness of Ansys Cloud.
  • Install Ansys Cloud Utility.
  • Launch remote solve jobs from Ansys Fluent and download results.
  • Lightweight Postprocessing in the Cloud Portal.
  • Use Virtual Desktop Interface (VDI) for pre, solve, and post.
  • Launch remote solve jobs from Command Line Interface (CLI) to run journal files and/or user-defined functions.
  • Prerequisites: Familiarity with Ansys Fluent.
