This course explains the workflow of Engine Sound Enhancement with the help of the different tools such as ASD GeneBOX, ASD Designer and ASD FRF (Frequency Response Function). ASD GeneBOX is dedicated to the synthesis of engine partials inside a vehicle using the embedded sound diffusion system (car audio system), ASD Designer is dedicated to the design of the sound enhancement of engine noise, and ASD FRF is dedicated to the measurement of the Frequency Response Function (FRF) of a car cabin, using its native audio system.
- The completion of Ansys Acoustics Getting Started and Ansys Sound Perception Getting Started, Ansys Sound – Analysis and Specification Getting Started.
- Software: Ansys Sound – Analysis and Specification, ASD Designer, ASD FRF, MATLAB runtime R2018b (version 9.5) for ASD FRF.
- Hardware: USB-CAN converter device (Dewesoft DS CAN 2, National Instruments NI USB-8473), optional: Microphone and sound level calibrator.
Lectures and computer practical sessions to validate acquired knowledge.
