Course Overview
Ansys Discovery Live is a first of its kind virtual prototyping environment providing interactive design exploration early in the development process. This all new technology is tightly coupled with direct geometry modeling offering a highly visual platform to interact in near real time with your simulation results after geometry updates. Discovery Live allows engineers to quickly switch between physics adding new studies all on the same model. The possible solutions that can be add in Discovery Live now are: thermal, fluid, structural and modal.
Geometry:
What if you could make a simple or complex change directly on a 3-D model, and instantly know the impact of that change? With Discovery Live fluids results instantly adjust as any geometry changes. Structural simulations re-compute to instantly show the changes in stress and deflection because of your iteration. Discovery Live lets you not only digitize your idea as you have them, but the interactive geometry gives you invaluable feedback in how your design will perform.

Discovery Live is not only equipped with powerful rendering capabilities, but they’re interactive. The unique render types, interactive range settings, and dynamic numerical feedback propel you to discover insights into your product’s performance. Changing the size of bounding box, or the characteristics of streamlines are just a few options to help you find trends in your designs.

Physics:
Interactive physics in Discovery Live means answers to your what if questions. It lets you change input parameters on the fly, or instantly switch between physics types and solutions. Discovery Live gives instant answers to questions like, what’s the effect on deflection if a part were made of Steel instead of Aluminum? Or what happens to the heat dissipation if the heat flux suddenly increased? With Discovery Live you can spend more time with questions and answers and less with setup and configuration.
