Following completion of this course, you will be able to:

  • Master the user interface of Ansys Discovery, understanding its three key modes: Model, Explore, and Refine.
  • Prepare geometry for Conjugate Heat Transfer (CHT) simulations, including fluid volume extraction and material assignment.
  • Simulate CHT in Explore mode, applying thermal and fluid flow boundary conditions, and exploring meshing options.
  • Gain proficiency in post-processing tools, including the interpretation of legends, vectors, contours, and other result visualization techniques.
  • Understand the process of local mesh refinement in Explore mode, enhancing simulation detail without substantial GPU memory increase.
  • Validate Explore-Mode results in Refine mode, leveraging high-fidelity solvers and advanced meshing options.
  • Acquire a solid understanding of key CHT terms such as heat transfer, fluid flow, boundary conditions, and meshing.
