Optical Theory

Course Overview

This course is intended for non-optical users who need or want to learn the basics of optical theory. 

In this course, you will get familiarized with some basic notions in optics that will allow you to understand how our simulation software work. 

You will learn about the different methods used to measure and analyze the visual spectrum such as radiometry, photometry and colorimetry, and how the human eye perceives light. 

You will also find a help sheet listing the formulas used to calculate light.

Prerequisites

  • A technical education and background but an engineering degree is not required.

Target Audience

Non-Optical background users, Mechanical Engineers and Designers for automotive or lighting industries.
