Introduction to ANSYS Composite PrepPost (ACP)
Overview
ANSYS Composite PrepPost training is geared towards engineers who are designing and analyzing layered composites. The training will cover the correct and efficient use of this technology for the purpose of overcoming some of the inherent challenges in composite modelling - such as capturing fiber orientation, model inspection, failure analysis and parameterization.
This training will teach attendees how to make high fidelity models, save time at the post-processing stage, and more.
Learning Outcome
Upon successful completion of this course, you will be able to:
- Create complex shell and solid composite models with appropriate fiber orientation and lay-up definition
- Perform FE analysis on composite models and post-process results specific to composites (such as failure criteria)
- Create parametric design analyses to assess the influence of specific parameters such as number of layers, fiber orientation, etc, on the design and behavior of the structure.
Prerequisites
- Completion of Introduction to ANSYS Workbench for Mechanical is strongly advised.
Target Audience: Engineers and Designers
Teaching Method: Lectures and computer practical sessions to validate acquired knowledge. A training certificate is provided to all attendees who complete the course.
Learning Options: Training materials for this course are available with a ANSYS Learning Hub Subscription. If there is no active public schedule available, private training can be arranged. Please contact us.
