Subsonic to Hypersonic: External Aerodynamics Computations using CFD Advances, Validations and Case Studies

External aerodynamics studies the motion of airflow over an object moving through air such as a flight vehicle. As an aircraft or missile gains speed, it passes through several flow regimes: subsonic, transonic, supersonic and hypersonic. Each of these regimes entails unique flow physics and unique numerical challenges. This webinar will focus on presenting recent advances made to core solver numerics, turbulence modeling and automated procedures for intelligent convergence acceleration for solving external aerodynamics flows.
