Fluid-Structure Interaction in Turbomachinery - Webinar

As known ANSYS offers a full non-linear and general solution for Fluid-Structure Interaction. In many applications a specific modelling of the interaction is accurate enough and much faster than the general solution. This presentation will show how the specific modelling for turbomachinery looks like: steady state solutions for fluid and structure, forced response analysis to compute dynamic stresses, blade flutter to compute aerodynamic damping. A special remark is on the vibro acoustic, which takes fluid dynamics into account, while computing the eigen-frequencies and -mode shapes. The forced response procedure and it's coupling can be applied to all mechanical systems, where periodic loads act on, i.e. turbo machines (periodic pressure) or electric motors or generators (periodic electromagnetic forces).
