Composite materials have gained popularity in high-performance products that need to be lightweight yet strong enough to take harsh loading conditions. Compared to traditional structures made of single materials such as steel or plastic, composites are much more challenging to simulate. The use of composites in massive parts rather than thin parts adds another level of complexity to the simulation processes.
