ANSYS Forte for Gasoline Engine Simulation - Webinar

Tax incentives and emission regulations such as EURO 6, are driving engine design toward highly boosted direct-injected gasoline engines. Whilst gasoline engines are comfortably meeting the required NOx levels, high boost pressures and direct injection is creating other challenges for the engine designer, including knocking and soot production.

Forte robustly and accurately simulates IC engine combustion performance with nearly any fuel, helping engineers rapidly design cleaner burning, high-efficiency, fuel-flexible engines. Coupling Forte's robust, accurate combustion modelling capabilities with automated mesh generation enables engine designers to quickly analyse designs without the mesh generation headache.

During this webinar, the presenter will demonstrate how engine developers can use accurate chemistry models in ANSYS Forte to predict Knocking and Soot formation.
