The overall performance of OLED and LED displays in a real environment depends on different aspects, such as the emissive properties of the display pixels, the illumination conditions, and human perception. In our previous webinar, Design Better Displays with Ansys Lumerical and Speos, we showed how to simulate a display by combining Ansys Lumerical STACK for the nano and microstructure of the pixels and Speos for the photometric analysis of the entire macroscopic display in a typical environment.

In this webinar, we approach the complex task of optimizing the pixel design in displays with the help of Ansys optiSLang to orchestrate the entire simulation workflow and perform advanced multi-objective optimization. We combine pixel-level figures of merit extracted directly from Ansys Lumerical STACK with more emergent human vision metrics in Speos, such as standards for legibility and visibility.
