Course Overview
Simplorer/Twin Builder is a multi-physics circuit simulator, able to insert in a single schematic electric, mechanical, hydraulic, thermal component and mix them with mathematical operation described in terms of State Space, block diagram, State Machines and scripting algorithm. Simplorer/Twin Builder offers the ideal environment for coupling Control drives (Power Electronics) and Electromagnetic devices (FEM Maxwell models), but also the possibility to include ROMs from most of the different Ansys products. The capability to import Modelica, SPICE and FMU/FMI components, the possibility to increase component libraries using VHDL-AMS and C++ scripting and the coupling with 3rd party tools like Simulink makes Simplorer/Twin Builder very flexible and a powerful platform for Multiphysics System analysis.
This basic class training will teach students how to use Ansys Simplorer for the design, modeling, analysis and optimization of high-performance systems including electrical and multi-purpose applications, and can easily be extended to thermal, electromechanical, electromagnetic, and hydraulic designs which are commonly found in the automotive, aerospace/defense, and industrial automation industries.
