Ansys Canada – Ontario
Multi-Year Accessibility Plan 2024 - 2029
Statement of Commitment
Ansys Canada Ltd. (“Ansys Canada”) is committed to meeting the needs of persons with disabilities, and to maintaining full compliance with the standards under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA). In doing so, Ansys Canada affirms its commitment to providing high quality service in a manner that respects the needs and independence of persons with disabilities. Our commitment to a diverse and inclusive workforce spans the globe with thousands of employees worldwide. Our different skills, backgrounds and perspectives create a culture of belonging that enables us to bring our whole selves to work. Through our Employee Resource Groups, we reinforce our values of inclusion, belonging, and innovation.
To meet this commitment, Ansys Canada has established a Multi-Year Accessibility Plan (“Plan”) that is reviewed and updated at least every five years. The Plan outlines the policies and actions that we have implemented to prevent and remove barriers and improve opportunities for people with disabilities.
Customer Service
Ansys Canada is committed to providing goods and services in a way that respects the dignity and independence of people with disabilities. We will communicate and interact with all persons with disabilities in a manner that considers their disability. Any training conducted in respect of providing customer service will reaffirm the importance of this principle.
We provide training to our employees in ways to communicate with our customers and third parties to meet their information and communication needs. Training and policies will include dealing with the use of assistive devices, service animals and support persons in accordance with AODA requirements.
Ansys will ensure to notify the public of temporary disruptions in its facilities and services. The public will be notified of the disruption, its anticipated duration and a description of alternative facilities or services, if any, that are available.
Upon request, we make publicly available information available in different formats.
Training
Ansys Canada will ensure all employees, volunteers, people participating in the development of policies, and others who provide goods and services or facilities on behalf of the company are trained on:
- The Integrated Accessibility Standards of the AODA; and
- The Human Rights Code as it relates to people with disabilities.
- How to interact and communicate with people with various types of disabilities or those who use and assistive device or require the assistance of a service animal or person
- What to do if a person with a disability is having difficulty accessing Ansys’ goods, services or facilities.
Training will be tailored depending on roles and responsibilities. Training will occur as soon as possible after starting employment, volunteering or otherwise providing services requiring training.
The Company will keep and maintain a record of the training provided, including the dates that the training was provided and the number of individuals to whom it was provided.
The Company will ensure training is provided on any changes to relevant policies on an ongoing basis.
Hiring Practices and Employment
Ansys Canada is committed to fair and accessible employment practices. We provide an accessible candidate experience and offer accommodations and adjustments during the recruitment and assessment processes and when people are hired, upon request.
