Fundamentals of Dynamic Analysis using LS-DYNA in Ansys Workbench: Part 2
This lecture continues the introduction of foundational concepts of dynamic analysis using Ansys LS-DYNA® nonlinear dynamics structural simulation software within the Ansys Workbench™ (WB) simulation integration platform as well as Ansys Mechanical™ structural finite element analysis software. This lecture focuses on contact modeling and contact properties across both Ansys LS-DYNA and Ansys Mechanical software, as well as post-processing and quasi-static analysis. Two examples are included to help illustrate impacts of a ball on a metal plate and quasi-static results of a soda can being crushed. Combined with Lecture Part 1 (linked below), this resource gives a good foundational understanding of dynamic analysis within Ansys tools and how it can be utilized to understand different engineering systems.
