Online Master's Degree in Numerical Simulation in Engineering with ANSYS
The Technical University of Madrid (UPM), offers an online Master's degree with the goal of training experts in the computational simulation of Fluid Mechanics and Solid Mechanics numerical simulation using ANSYS engineering simulation software. The curriculum is oriented towards practical applications, relevant for a range of industries (energy, automotive, aeronautics, construction, civil engineering, naval, railway, industrial equipment, etc.).
The Master's degree program has modular content that includes, among other subjects, nonlinearities, implicit and explicit dynamics, aerodynamics, turbulence, combustion, meshing, optimization, multiphysic coupling, etc.
The next edition starts on February 27, 2017. Due to the Master’s Degree’s flexibility, the student can decide the module(s) to take in each semester (only the modules taken in each semester will be paid). Also, the student can decide to stop in one of the three levels available so total duration of the program can be between 1 and more than 6 semesters. More information can be found on “Structure and Content” and “Degrees”. If you are interested, enroll here.
Although the Master's degree content is created in collaboration with ANSYS, the Technical University of Madrid is fully responsible for this course and all applications are to be made through the University Enrollment site.

- "Heat Transfer" module - 800€
- 3000+ professors and researchers
- 40000+ students
- 200+ R&D groups
- 1600+ publications in JCR in 2012
- 200+ theses in 2012
- 120+ research projects
Next Semester: February 27, 2017 - June 25, 2017
Enrollment Period: November 15, 2016 - March 5, 2017 (Online Enrollment Form)
Cost: 80€ per credit
The total cost of the Degree is paid progressively before the starting of each semester. The student will only pay for the credits he will take during that period. Therefore, before the beginning of each semester, the Secretariat of the Master will contact the student to request the information about the module/s he/she will take to take during the following period, every student having complete flexibility to choose the module/s to follow during each semester. Likewise, if the student decides to leave the Master temporarily, he/she may reincorporate again keeping their prior condition.

“Good material for learning: both theoretical and practical. good tutorials professors always available for clarifications Exercitations well-aligned to understand practical and theoretical concept GOOD JOB GUYS!”
“Everything contributed to the learning, the professors always answered our questions and the chapters had a lot of information and references”
“The guided exercises really contributed to learn ANSYS. Also, the possibility of asking questions through Moodle is very valuable”
Information About Universidad Politécnica de Madrid & ANSYS, Inc.
The Technical University of Madrid (UPM) holds double recognition as a Campus of International Excellence, a distinction that refers to the quality of its research and teaching activity.
The UPM has been considered as the best technical Spanish university for the last two years by the newspaper El Mundo. It is ranked as the top university in Spain for number of projects and patents.
Its professors have wide experience in numerical simulation in technical colleges such as industrial, aeronautics, civil, naval engineering, etc. Some data:
ANSYS develops, markets and supports engineering simulation software used to predict how product designs will behave and how manufacturing processes will operate in real-world environments. The company continually advances simulation solutions by, first, developing or acquiring the very best technology; then integrating it into a unified and customizable simulation platform that allows engineers to efficiently perform complex simulations involving the interaction of multiple physics; and, finally, providing system services to manage simulation processes and data — all so engineers and product developers can spend more time designing and improving products and less time using software and searching for data.
Founded in 1970, ANSYS employs about 2,600 professionals, and many of them are engineers expert in fields such as finite element analysis, computational fluid dynamics, electronics and electromagnetics, and design optimization. The staff includes more master’s and Ph.D.-level engineers than any other simulation provider. ANSYS re-invests 15 percent of revenues each year into research to continually refine its software.
