Overview

The Ansys International Material Selection Challenge is back, and it’s your chance to see how students around the world are using Granta EduPack to solve real-world engineering problems through materials innovation and simulation.

In this webinar, you’ll hear from Professor Claudio Tosto, supervisor of the 2024 winning team, and Professor Gianluca Cicala, both from the University of Catania, as they share how their students approached the challenge and what they gained from the experience. You’ll also learn how the university hosted a successful Case Study Day to showcase the students’ work and celebrate their achievements.

Abstract submissions are now open for the 2025/26 competition, so if you’ve been working on an exciting materials selection project using Granta EduPack, possibly alongside other simulation tools, we welcome your submission.
