Overview

In the webinar “Digital Beamforming Design: From Requirements to Mission Modeling,” we established how to connect requirements, system architecture, and mission modeling to build a strong foundation for digital beamforming design. In this session, you’ll learn how to take that foundation further – refining and validating designs through optimization, high-fidelity simulation, and requirements-based verification.

We’ll demonstrate how to run automated trade studies, optimize antenna designs, and use detailed electromagnetic simulation to capture real-world performance. You’ll see how simulation results can be evaluated against system requirements and how a connected workflow supports traceability across each step of the design process.

By extending the models and workflows introduced in the first session, engineering teams can reduce iteration cycles, improve confidence in design decisions, and move efficiently from concept to validated, mission-ready performance. This session highlights practical approaches to connecting design refinement and verification within a unified digital engineering workflow.

What Attendees Will Learn

  • Trade studies and automated design exploration
  • Optimization of antenna geometry and performance
  • High-fidelity electromagnetic simulation (HFSS)
  • Requirements-based verification and validation workflows
  • Connecting data, processes, and systems via PLM and SPDM to create a digital thread

Who Should Attend

  • Systems engineers who want to learn how to refine and optimize antenna designs while still meeting system requirements
  • RF/communications engineers who need to see how detailed simulation results are validated against requirements and integrated back into system workflows
  • Engineering program managers who want to understand how connected workflows enable collaboration, reduce risk, shorten design cycles, and improve confidence in results.
