Overview

Most products will experience some dynamic loading during their lifetime, whether it is intentional (think of a spinning turbine blade, the impact on a football helmet, or a vehicle suspension system) or accidental/incidental (think of dropping your cell phone, a fragile appliance shipping to its destination, or an earthquake). What really constitutes dynamic loading, and how does it differ from static loading? How do you know when to perform a modal analysis, or what kinds of applications warrant a random vibration analysis? What are the advantages and limitations of the various forms of dynamic analysis available within Ansys Mechanical software?

In this Foundational Fridays webinar, we will introduce you to dynamic simulations in Ansys Mechanical software. Specifically, we will learn how to differentiate between static and dynamic analysis, as well as the differences between them. We will also examine how to set up and solve dynamic simulations. Furthermore, the session will cover essential postprocessing methods to help you validate both the simulation and your design. By the end of the webinar, participants will have acquired practical skills to handle dynamic problems in Ansys Mechanical software effectively.

What Attendees Will Learn

  • Differentiate the types of dynamic analyses available and choose the appropriate one
  • Set up dynamic simulations
  • Interpret and understand the results of dynamic simulations

Who Should Attend

  • Users who wish to understand the differences among the structural dynamic simulation types in Ansys Mechanical software and how to set up dynamic simulations.
