The rapid development of the automotive industry has significantly shortened product upgrade cycles. Yanfeng International explored using the implicit solver of Ansys LS-DYNA nonlinear dynamics structural simulation software for structural strength analysis.

Challenges

Yanfeng International uses Ansys LS-DYNA extensively for explicit dynamic simulations. However, for certain implicit scenarios — such as structural strength or modal analysis — the company would need to purchase additional mainstream computer-aided engineering (CAE) tools. This introduces the need to learn new software and potentially rebuild models to adapt to a different simulation platform. Such processes significantly reduce development efficiency and require considerable additional financial and human resources..
