ペンシルべニア州ピッツバーグ、2023年5月16日 ― 革新的なエンジニアリング シミュレーション ソフトウェアのグローバルリーダーであるAnsys (NASDAQ：ANSS)は、本日、Diakopto社買収に関する最終契約を締結したことを発表しました。Diakoptoは集積回路（IC）開発を加速する差別化されたEDAソリューションを提供しており、レイアウト寄生に起因する重大な問題の解消に重点を置いています。今回の買収は、契約に伴う一般的諸条件を満たしたうえで、2023年第2四半期中に完了する見通しです。この買収はAnsysの2023年度の連結財務諸表に重大な影響を与えない見通しです。

Diakoptoは、近年、IC設計の一層の複雑化に伴って生じている想定外の影響に対処する製品を開発しています。半導体の設計には先端プロセスノード技術が用いられるようになっており、配線間の寄生効果のためにパフォーマンスや信頼性、機能性など、設計上の制約が生じています。市場をリードするDiakoptoの製品は、半導体業界を代表する企業を始め数十社に採用されており、幅広いアプリケーションに用いられています。

Ansysは今回の同社買収によって、設計エンジニアの「シフトレフト」を支援すると同時に、設計サイクルの早い段階での配線寄生問題検出を可能にします。Diakoptoの製品は、設計エンジニアがこうした問題を修正できるよう実行可能なアナリティクスを提供するという、これまでにはなかった機能を備えています。エンジニアは寄生問題を早期発見し、what-if分析を行うことで、その後の設計サイクルにおいてコストのかかる反復作業を最小限に抑えることができ、コストと時間をさらに削減できるようになります。
