Scott Parent

VP and & Field CTO, Ansys

Scott is currently the VP & Field CTO at Ansys, where he works globally with customers to understand their digital engineering needs and aligns Ansys’ methodologies to support their transitions. Before this role, Scott held various CTO and COO positions at GE, BP, and Baker Hughes. With a broad leadership background in technology, his expertise spans multi-physics simulation, robotics, analytics, sensor development, asset health monitoring, AI/ML, additive manufacturing, computer vision, edge analytics, and other advanced 5th Industrial Revolution technologies. He serves on the Nuclear Engineering Advisory Council at Pennsylvania State University and is a certified Six Sigma Blackbelt. Scott holds a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Maine and a master's degree in aerospace engineering from Pennsylvania State University.
