Overview

While applying mathematical concepts is required in the early years of undergraduate study, finding ways for students to develop skills in optimization engineering problems can be challenging. On the other hand, accreditation bodies encourage educators and professors to embed AI/ML use cases in engineering courses to enable industry-ready students.

In this webinar, we will introduce Ansys OptiSLang™, which orchestrates and automates multi-physics simulation toolchains and connects to state-of-the-art optimization algorithms to perform parametric design studies and better understand designs. This illustrates to students the use of machine learning in an engineering context—both in design space understanding and system optimization.

What You Will Learn

  • Why optimization is critical for future engineers
  • How to proceed with process automation, design of experiments, robust design, optimization, model calibration
  • Example of real-world applications
  • Overview of the available teaching resources for you to use in courses with your students
