Optimization of a Steel Hook using Ansys optiSlang
This tutorial allows you to put into practice process integration and design optimization of a simple system. Starting from a provided structural analysis of a steel hook, a design space exploration is carried out to identify what are the most sensitive parameters of the system. This also enables us to create a response surface of the system. Then an optimization of the design using the machine learning algorithms in Ansys optiSLang®, where the response surface is used as the model to optimize and only best designs are validated with simulation to reduce computational time. This enables significant mass reduction while still meeting design requirements.
