Static structural analysis using FEA of pressure vessel with Ansys Mechanical

Pressure vessels are widely used in industry thus safety under operating conditions is crucial criteria for their design. This case study deals with the process of designing such a pressure vessel according to the EN 13445-3, while focusing on its components, design parameters, application and material selection. Static structural analysis is carried out using Ansys Mechanical to investigate deformation and stresses distribution on the cylindrical pressure vessel. This resource was created in collaboration with the Department of Welding and Welded Structures and Faculty of Mechanical Engineering from Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje as part of the Ansys Funded Curriculum Program.
