ANSYS Mechanical Enterprise Software

ANSYS Mechanical Enterprise

Structural analysis with ANSYS Mechanical Enterprise provides robust general purpose stress, thermal, modal and fatigue simulations, greater engineering insight with advanced nonlinear stress simulations and comprehensive linear dynamics, and in-depth analysis of structure and coupled-field behavior in a highly productive, comprehensive simulation environment.

ANSYS Mechanical software is a comprehensive finite element analysis (FEA) tool for structural analysis, including linear, nonlinear, dynamic, hydrodynamic and explicit studies. It provides a complete set of elements behavior, material models and equation solvers for a wide range of mechanical design problems. In addition, ANSYS Mechanical Enterprise offers thermal analysis and coupled-physics capabilities involving acoustic, piezoelectric, thermal–structural and thermo-electric analysis.

As well as the flagship implicit solver technology and highly productive platform on which ANSYS Mechanical Enterprise is built. ANSYS Mechanical Enterprise also includes the following tools.

ANSYS AIM is an easy simulation environment designed for all engineers. It offers integrated single discipline and multiphysics solutions based on best-in-class solver technologies in a modern, new, immersive user environment that enables engineers to rapidly evaluate product design performance with confidence.

ANSYS Simplorer is a powerful platform for modeling, simulating and analyzing virtual system prototypes. It enables product development teams to verify and optimize performance of their software-controlled, multi-domain systems designs.

ANSYS SpaceClaim is a fast and intuitive 3-D modeling software solution that enables any analyst or engineer to create, edit and repair geometry no matter where they are in the workflow.

The ANSYS Customization Toolkit (ACT) enables you and your team make use of extensions available in the ACT app store to further expand on the capabilities of ANSYS Mechanical and also embed third-party applications and APDL scripts within your simulation environment. Mechanical Enterprise includes the ANSYS Customization Suite (ACS) so you and your team can create your own scripts for a customized simulation environment that captures your expert knowledge, specialized processes and best practices.

ANSYS DesignXplorer is an integrated Workbench application that leverages the persistent and automated power of ANSYS Workbench for parametric analyses. It enables you to explore, understand and optimize your design so you can apply simulation to drive product development.

Explicit STR

The addition of Explicit STR allows short time scale and very large deformation simulations to be carried out. Impact, drop tests and metal forming simulations are all easily carried out in the same environment that you use to look at strength and vibration simulations.

Based on the robust and time-tested Lagrange (STRuctural) solver of the ANSYS AUTODYN analysis program, ANSYS Explicit STR software is fully integrated into ANSYS Workbench.

ANSYS Composite PrepPost - ACP

Composite materials are created by combining two or more layered materials, each with different properties. ACP enables you to carry out advanced pre and post processing of complex composite structures for FEA analysis.

ANSYS Aqwa software is an engineering analysis suite of tools that enables you to investigate the effects of wave, wind and current on floating and fixed offshore and marine structures, including spars, floating production storage and offloading (FPSO) systems, semi-submersibles, tension leg platforms (TLPs), ships, renewable energy systems and breakwater design.

ANSYS Rigid Body Dynamics - RBD

Simulating the motion of these systems by assuming fully flexible parts and then deploying traditional finite elements methods for the solution is computationally expensive. For a faster, more efficient solution, the ANSYS Rigid Body Dynamics add-on module provides inexpensive, robust analysis of rigid multibody dynamics.

Fatigue Module

While many parts may work well initially, they often fail in service due to fatigue failure caused by repeated cyclic loading. The Fatigue Module enables you to perform fatigue analysis and determine the capability of a material to survive the many cycles a component may experience during its lifetime.

One of the keys to Schlemmer Group‘s success is the high quality of their products. They use ANSYS software to virtually test cable protection systems and reduce the number of expensive prototypes. The software contributes to their zero-defect goal and to meeting certification standards in a cost-effective manner. View Case Study

After Hurricane Katrina, MSI evaluated vibration responses of the platform during the operation of high-power mechanical equipment. They used ANSYS Mechanical software to simulate the pumping platform stresses and vibrational responses to ensure that the system would perform optimally during intense storms.
