Accelerating Auto Electronics Reliability Using Physics of Failure Modeling

The best way to ensure automotive electronics reliability is by taking the Physics of Failure (PoF) approach, which uses science (physics, chemistry, etc.) to capture an understanding of failure mechanisms and evaluates useful life under actual operating conditions. The four key processes in this methodology are design capture, lifecycle characterization, load transformation and durability simulation reliability analysis and risk assessment. Ansys Sherlock Automated Design Analysis software is a reliability assurance tool suite which performs all these functions in a virtual simulation environment to ensure that your electronics designs will work as designed for the desired lifetime of the product.
