Industrial robotics is advancing rapidly, from autonomous robots automating manufacturing processes to mobile robots navigating the factory floor, even collaborating with humans. By nature, robots convert energy into movement through actuators and motors. Electro-mechanical energy conversion is becoming mainstream due to energy efficiency and ease of control.
This webinar will cover the main components of these robotic systems, including motors and actuators, power supply, and sensors. Practical examples demonstrate how simulation can address primary design challenges, such as achieving high precision and low losses while meeting space constraints, thermal limits, and EMI/EMC compliance requirements.
Robotics systems integrate electromagnetic, mechanical, and thermal design aspects. Hence, to achieve an optimal design, an accurate representation of each component and its multiphysics needs must be captured in a system simulation. The webinar will provide examples of how to incorporate accurate component models into a system simulation, allowing for the capture of interactions between electromagnetic and mechanical models.
