Ansys FreeFlow Datasheet
Ansys FreeFlow smoothed-particle hydrodynamics simulation software is a dedicated simulation tool designed for modeling free-surface flows using the smoothed-particle hydrodynamics (SPH) method. Unlike traditional mesh-based approaches, FreeFlow employs a mesh-free, particle-based technique that excels in handling complex fluid dynamics scenarios.
Key Benefits
- Fast Solution for Free-Surface Flows: Ansys FreeFlow, an SPH software, represents fluids as particles, therefore it can simulate free-surface flows faster than standard CFD, reducing the need for complex interface tracking algorithms used in traditional CFD.
- Meshless SPH Software: Ansys FreeFlow eliminates the time-consuming and complex process of mesh creation and handles complex geometries easily since it is a meshless SPH software.
- GPU-based Solver: Memory bandwidth is a critical factor in SPH simulations. Ansys FreeFlow’s GPU-based solver is designed to efficiently handle large-scale simulations involving millions of SPH elements.
- Multiphysics Analysis: Ansys FreeFlow can be coupled with other Ansys products, like Mechanical, Motion and Fluent, enabling advanced multiphysics simulations that are especially valuable for complex engineering problems.
