Ansys Solution for Electrothermal Battery Modeling
Electric batteries are complex components that are central to the development of electric vehicles. Their overall performance requires the control of operating temperature levels. 3D numerical simulation is a highly valuable tool for accurately predicting temperature mapping in battery modules and studying the efficiency of cooling systems. 1D system simulation makes it possible to test the battery module in real conditions by subjecting it, for example, to a WLTP driving cycle.
In this webinar, we will see how to use the battery module integrated in the Fluent solver to perform 3D thermal calculations. Then we will see how to build an electro-thermal 1D model on a thermal reduced order model (ROM).
