Understanding the Universe
To gaze deep into the universe or explore it firsthand, mine an asteroid or deflect it, and protect assets in space or the world beneath them — simulation empowers brilliant innovators across civil, defense, and commercial programs.
In the past, the present, and the future of space, you will find Ansys.
For all the diverse missions and applications that involve space, simulation has a compelling purpose. We’ve collected a sample of some of the most interesting and profound space-related use cases featuring Ansys solutions, and organized them into three tabs across this page:
Ansys is deeply involved in the Space Symposium experience, from sponsoring the lanyards that attendees will wear to serving ice cream at our booth to keep everyone refreshed. And, check out the Special Events tab on this page to learn about our signature Space Symposium event, Ansys Casino Night.
Understanding the Universe
To push the boundaries of what we know, you need to push the boundaries of what your mission can do. Ansys simulation solutions have empowered some of the wildest ambitions in space science, and they can be the key to your next great success story. By modeling the integrated performance of systems of systems, you can detect problems that will be, before they become problems that are. And Ansys solutions go beyond spacecraft design. Our software has been used to plan trajectories for many of the great space missions of this century. From the microchip to the mission — reduce costs, shorten timelines, then reinvest that in audacity, and you can literally change how we see our universe.
Great Powers Competition in Space
Whether you’re shortening an OODA loop or designing the next generation of defense systems, speed is essential — you need to be faster than adversaries or competitors. Ansys digital engineering solutions accelerate engineering, testing, and operations. Collect, characterize, and analyze data, and then make quick, highly-informed decisions. Rapidly iterate designs, optimize them, and continuously model real-world performance to get your system from concept to deployment and sustainment at the tempo required to meet the mission. Meet the demands of the digital transformation imperative with Ansys.

The Rise of Commercial Space
The commercialization of space is bound to unlock new possibilities for humankind even as it creates new problems for space operators. But every commercial problem is also a commercial opportunity, and so the prospects for space are boundless. Ansys simulation solutions empower design, engineering, and testing from microchips to systems of systems. When it comes to planning your systems’ missions, you can rely on our simulation solutions to ensure success — just as some of the most ambitious space missions of this century have done.

Tuesday, April 18, 8-11 p.m. — Colorado Hall, near the Golden Bee
Hosted in partnership with the 38th Space Symposium
Here’s how to get involved in the action, win table prizes, and earn your chance at the grand prize! Let’s start by being clear about one thing: there’s no actual gambling at Ansys Casino Night. You’ll be wagering with pretend money, hoping to win prize tickets — and of course, having a great time with your fellow symposium attendees.
The casino floor will be packed with classic games of chance, such as blackjack, craps, roulette, and more. If you’ve never played a game before, never fear, because our dealers are happy to help you learn!
Enjoy drinks from open bar stations around the casino floor and satisfy your appetite with a variety of finger foods.
Each guest will start with $1,000 in play money. You can exchange your play money for casino chips at any game table, and then you’re ready to go.
The games will run from 8:30-11 p.m. To make sure that everyone gets a chance to try the games, our dealers will ask guests to rotate to a new table every 30 minutes or so. Thanks for your cooperation!
Throughout the evening, Ansys hosts will visit tables at random to offer one-time challenges with prizes at stake. You won’t need your precious chips or play money to win one of these challenges!
While there’s no money changing hands at Ansys Casino night, one lucky lounge lizard will take home our grand prize: a Cannondale Treadwell Neo 2 EQ Electric Bike!
To enter the grand prize drawing, you can exchange your chips for prize tickets from any dealer. You will get one ticket for each $5,000 in chips that you exchange. Write your name and phone number on the back of the ticket and drop it in an appropriately marked bowl (there will be many around). Please be assured, we will only use your phone number to contact you if you win the grand prize, and not for any other reason.
We will hold the grand prize drawing at Ansys’ booth (1014) on Wednesday, and immediately announce the winner!
