Case Study: Design for Metal Additive Manufacturing – Part 3: Print Parameter Predictions

The aim of this case study (third and final part of a case study series) is to simulate the print process to explore the AM-induced stresses and distortions, in order to identify any potential issues that can lead to part failure or decide on post-processing requirements (e.g., heat treatment), prior to the physical printing of the part. For this, the Additive Print tool will be utilized which is available in the Ansys Additive software.
