Getting the Benefits of 3D Physics Accuracy in Fast Electric Machine System Models

Machines are becoming smaller and lighter, making thermal management more critical. Traditional system models have insufficient detail to capture effects needed to push the design envelope. In addition, 3D physics models are too heavy for practical system simulation and complete drive cycle analysis, and they have a steep learning curve for non-experts. Reduced-order modeling (ROM) bridges the gap between 3D detail and fast simulation and makes it easy for non-experts to access detailed results.

This webinar describes the application of Ansys ROM tools to solve electric machine simulation problems
