Earlier this month, Synopsys proudly joined forces with NVIDIA to co-sponsor the Global Semiconductor Alliance (GSA) Women in Semiconductor Hardware (WISH) conference — a gathering that continues to spark energy, inspiration, and meaningful connection across the industry.

Held in San Jose, California, this year’s WISH conference brought together women leaders, engineers, and advocates from across the semiconductor ecosystem for a full day of panels, discussions, and networking focused on leadership and innovation.

The opening keynote fireside chat set an inspiring tone for the day. Jodi Shelton — GSA CEO and co-founder, as well as founder of GSA WISH and the GSA Women’s Leadership Initiative — led a compelling conversation with Sylvia Acevedo, former NASA rocket scientist, former CEO, and current member of the board of directors for Qualcomm and Credo. Together, they embodied the power of leadership and the impact of women driving innovation in the semiconductor industry.

From the opening keynote to the closing reception, conversations were rich with insight, exploring how collaboration, mentorship, and representation are driving the future of technology. The program featured senior executives from across the industry, university innovators, and emerging leaders sharing personal stories of resilience and impact.

As part of their co-sponsorship, NVIDIA and Synopsys sponsored the dessert bar at the Global Semiconductor Alliance (GSA) Women in Semiconductor Hardware (WISH) conference.

At Synopsys, we’re deeply committed to fostering women in technology — not just in words but through action. Partnering with NVIDIA to support WISH 2025 reflects our shared belief that when we champion women in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM), we strengthen the entire semiconductor ecosystem.

One attendee, Pouneh Mozaffari, enterprise account manager at Ansys, part of Synopsys, shared her reflections on this year’s event: “I had the opportunity to attend this year’s WISH conference and left feeling inspired and grateful. The sessions and panels offered great insights into where the industry is headed. I also had the chance to connect and share ideas with the great talents shaping the future of our industry. I’m already looking forward to next year’s conference.”

Events like WISH remind us that progress happens when we work together — across companies, disciplines, and generations — to create an industry that reflects the world we serve.

We’re grateful to our partners at NVIDIA and GSA for creating a platform that continues to inspire the next wave of women leaders in semiconductors, and we’re excited for what’s next.
