About this Webinar

Ansys has many solvers that deal with different aspects of electromagnetic physics, from quasi-static electric and magnetic fields through RF and microwave to visible light, at scales ranging from individual transistors to many city blocks.  This presentation will provide an overview of the different approaches used in these solvers and discuss some of the trade-offs in choosing the best solution method for a particular application.

Eric Bracken

Eric Bracken is an Ansys Fellow and the Chief Technologist for the Electronics Business Unit at Ansys.  He received his Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University (Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania).  As a graduate student he co-founded a start-up company, Performance Signal Integrity.  Eric joined Ansoft Corp. in 1996 and became part of the Ansys team through acquisition in 2008.  His interests are in the areas of signal and power integrity analysis, EMI/EMC, parasitic extraction, circuit simulation, and model-order reduction.
