Wilde Analysis helps designers, engineers and researchers improve their products and processes by supplying Ansys and complementary engineering software and technical services. We aim to maximize return on software investment through a unique combination of consulting, secondment, mentoring and training services that address performance, reliability and safety considerations within design and manufacturing. We have assisted over 2000 companies and universities with FEA, CFD, reliability and safety analysis in UK, Europe and Asia.
We have been involved in engineering simulation for over 35 years and an Ansys channel partner since 2000. Our company was formed in 1980 by David Wilde to encourage the adoption of FEA and CFD within industry. We have grown to specialise in not only structural mechanics, fluid dynamics, low frequency electromagnetics and multiphysics, but also the simulation of metal and plastic manufacturing processes. This experience enables us to closely support clients with demanding large deformation, complex contact, thermo-mechanical and non-linear material modelling challenges.
We currently have 35 permanent UK-based staff, covering all engineering industries and all regions of UK and Ireland. We also run a well-established associate scheme, enabling us to call upon over 25 experts for highly specialised projects.
Quality assurance is a vital constituent of our DNA in order to provide reliable, professional support and services. Our Quality Management System for the delivery of software, training and consulting has been approved to ISO 9001 since 1993 and we are continually refining our processes to achieve the latest ISO9001:2015 standard. To complement the environmental goals of our clients, our Environmental Management System is certified to ISO 14001.
To keep informed and contribute to emerging technologies and industry requirements, we are members of a number of organisations, including technical and steering committees of NAFEMS (International Association for the Engineering Modelling, Analysis and Simulation) and SARS (Safety & Reliability Society). We also support the development of the next generation of engineers and analysts through an in-house IMechE Monitored Professional Development Scheme (MPDS) while providing Year-in-Industry internships and undertaking STEM initiatives with local schools and universities.
Indeed, a shortage of suitably qualified staff is a common challenge for many clients and a significant obstacle to full adoption of simulation. We help address these issues and maximise the benefits from simulation by ‘technology transfer’ based around flexible training, mentoring, support, consulting and recruitment services. As we attract both experienced and graduate engineers, we can help companies find and train talented staff to run Ansys in-house if they do not have existing capability.
In addition to Ansys, we have developed a comprehensive portfolio of complementary products and services, including advanced optimisation, process modelling and safety & reliability engineering. Consequently, our clients benefit from a product life cycle analysis and asset management partner that can add real value from material production & product design to maintenance & disposal. Examples include: integrating Failure Mode & Effects Analysis (FMEA) and other reliability methodologies with Ansys engineering simulation throughout design, test and warranty phases; predicting material properties due to manufacturing for more accurate structural FEA results; and utilising simulation to assist safety assessments.
